MARI© Assessment Training
|
|
The MARI Card Test is non-verbal and uses archetypal symbolic designs and colors to assess a person's present state. The Mandala Assessment Research Instrument (MARI) is based on the pioneering work of Joan Kellogg, MA., A.T.R. Grounded in Jungian theory and cross-cultural studies, Kellogg has greatly enhanced our fundamental understanding of the mandala as a powerful tool in both therapy and assessment.
The Mandala is a circular drawing well-known by Jungians as an indicator of internal processes. Jung referred to the mandala as a "cryptogram"---a coded
message---from the inner self.
Understanding and interpreting the mandala provides a powerful tool for nurses, therapists, medical practitioners, clergy and researchers. This course trains participants to explore and experience the dynamics of the mandala in both clinical use of mandala drawings and the MARI Card Test.
The MARI Mandala course uses lectures, visuals, and experiential mandala art to teach participants to:
* learn how to use mandalas for therapeutic purposes and client assessment
* develop mandala symbol and color interpretation skills
* learn mandala drawing technique for personal use or with clients
* understand the MARI Card Test interpretation process
* gain knowledge of psychological, psychosocial and spiritual aspects of mandalas
